Kerry Hardie was born in 1951, grew up in Bangor, Northern Ireland and read literature at York University. Returning to Ireland, she now works for the BBC in Belfast and for the Arts Council. She has published two books of poetry with the Gallery Press and is the winner of the Friends Provident National Poetry Prize (Ireland). Her first novel is Hannie Bennet’s Winter Marriage. She lives in County Kilkenny with her husband, the writer Sean Hardie.
