Agent : Julia Churchill
Rose Wilkins’ ancestors include the Lady of the Lake and Charles Kingsley, author of The Water Babies. The daughter of an artist, she grew up in rural Wales, survived a girls’ boarding school, and went to Bristol University where she read Classics, a subject she enjoyed so much that she took her Master’s Degree at Oxford. Work experience in a publishing firm allowed her to devour chunks of teenage chick-lit at the photocopier. Certain she could write a better book than most she’d read, she rashly accepted a bet to that effect and was forced to start work on her first children’s novel, So Super-Starry. It was a bet she won: she has published four young adult novels to date. She lives and works in London.
