Rob’s first Children’s book – was shortlisted for the Waterstone’s Children’s Book Prize 2009. Set in the days of Christopher Columbus it follows 12 year-old Hugo Bailey’s adventures battling giant flesh-eating slugs, Vampire beetles and the most dangerous monsters of them all – the Buffalogres!

Along the way Hugo meets all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures such as Pigasus the flying pig, Snowdon the bear-like warrior and his best friend in the world, Savage the fearless, sword-fighting… er… mouse.
