Tim Willocks grew up in the North of England and in 1983 qualified as a doctor of medicine at University College Hospital, which art he practiced for twenty-two years. He has authored six novels, written and produced three feature films, and has been translated into twenty languages. He has worked with Steven Spielberg, Alan Pakula, Curtis Hanson, Jerry Zucker, John Williams, John Barry, and Michael Mann, and contributed to President Clinton's Millennium Eve speech. He co-founded and ran the Kurtz Theatre Company and is a second dan black belt in Shotokan karate. He lives on a mountain in County Kerry.
