Orphaned at the age of sixteen and uprooted from her home in Norfolk to stay with relatives, interior designer Clementine Lee now lives and works in London. With a job she loves, a stylish flat she has designed herself and a gently promising relationship with her boss, she has everything to look forward to…until, in the space of one traumatic week, she loses it all – her lover, he livelihood and the roof over her head.
