Ellie’s life is unravelling – pregnant and newly parted from her long-term boyfriend, she’s broke and looking for a place to live. Grace’s life has been coming apart for rather longer. Abandoned by her unsuitable husband, the only real security she has is the wonderful, but desperately run-down house that her godmother left her. Unless she can find a lot of money very quickly, Luckenham House will have to go.
When Grace and Ellie meet, the very different women find they can help each other out. But life has a way of getting very complicated, and their sensible plans seem to go suddenly very awry…
