Alistair Bunkall is an Emmy Award winning and multi-BAFTA nominated foreign correspondent for Sky News. He has reported from the Middle East for well over a decade, including many years living in Jerusalem.
Over a twenty-year career, he has covered major global events for Sky News, most notably the events in Israel on October 7th 2023, and the wars in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran that followed. He has also reported on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and conflicts in Yemen, Syria and Mali.
He is also one of few foreign journalists to have reported from North Korea. Alistair also produced and presented a successful and news-making podcast series called Off the Record, interviewing world leaders.
Outside of work he loves playing tennis and watching cricket, rugby, F1 and Norwich City football club. When not travelling to a major breaking news story, he spends time with his wife, two daughters and walking their black Labrador.
