Anne Perkins graduated from London University with a first-class degree in history and joined the BBC as a trainee journalist. She has been a political correspondent for the BBC, Channel Four News and, most recently, the Guardian. She has also presented political programmes and documentaries for radio and television. She lives in London with her husband and two daughters.
