Annie grew up in Otley, a town on the outskirts of Leeds. While attending Newcastle University she had a column on sex and relationships in the university paper. After graduating she began writing for a number of publications including Vice, The Sunday Times, The New Statesman, The Independent and more. She writes a dating column in Vogue. Her first book, Notes on Heartbreak, was published in 2022.
