Originally from the Cotswolds, Charlotte Reather is a leading country lifestyle journalist, columnist, TV comedy writer and author. She co-wrote the No.1 Sunday Times bestselling Extreme Fishing book with Robson Green (2013), The No.1 New York Times and Sunday Times bestselling Clanlands (2020) with Sam Heughan & Graham McTavish and The New York Times and Sunday Times bestselling Clanlands Almanac (2021) and Clanlands in New Zealand (2023), also with Sam Heughan & Graham McTavish. Her latest book, Made in Britain (2024), co-written with Jay Blades MBE, shines a light on ten of Britain’s key endangered heritage crafts.
She pens the monthly column ‘Tested’ for Countryside magazine and has turned her hand to 120 heritage crafts and rural skills for her previous column ‘Charlie’s Challenges’ (2012 - 2019). She also wrote the humorous column ‘Wildlife’ in The Field (2009 - 2012).
She contributes to a variety of national and international publications including, The Daily Mail, The Telegraph, The Washington Post, The Virginia Sportsman, The Field, Country Life, The Scottish Field and Camping and Caravanning Club Magazine.
She lives in the South Downs with her husband, two daughters and dog.
