Corey Mead is the author of five narrative nonfiction books: The Pursued: A True Story of Stalking, Memory, and Madness in America’s Heartland (Little A, forthcoming Dec. 2025); The Hidden History of the White House (William Morrow, 2024); The Lost Pilots: The Spectacular Rise and Scandalous Fall of Aviation’s Golden Couple (Flatiron, 2018); Angelic Music: The Curious Story of Benjamin Franklin’s Favorite Invention (Simon & Schuster, 2016); and War Play: Video Games and the Future of Armed Conflict (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2013). Several of his recent articles have been optioned for television and film. He is an Associate Professor of English at the City University of New York.
