Emma Reed Turrell
Emma’s mother is Swedish and her father is English so she had a blend of cultural influences growing up and spent a lot of her early life in Sweden. Emma went to school in Portsmouth and, although she was always interested in psychology, she chose to pursue other interests at university and read English at Cambridge. Following ten years working in business, in sales and marketing roles, Emma reverted to her earlier passion for neuroscience and mental health. That took her on a path to becoming a psychotherapist and a career change at the point that Emma had her first child. Emma lives in Winchester now with her husband, two children and golden retriever, and runs a busy private practice alongside writing and training. She is writing her first book, on people pleasing, for 4th Estate.
