Jacqueline O'Mahony grew up in the countryside in Ireland, before leaving to work as a journalist at Condé Nast Publications in London. She has lived in Scotland, England, Italy, Spain, Australia and America, but her heart is in the American West, where she spends summers riding horses. Her first book, A River in the Trees (riverrun, 2019) was nominated for the Not the Booker Prize.
