James Cook lives in London. He was a musician and songwriter for the band Flamingoes, and his first book, Memory Songs – an exploration of the music that shaped the 90s – was published in 2018 by Unbound. His short fiction has appeared in the anthology Vagabond Holes, and he has written about music for the Guardian and Boundless magazine, among others. He is currently working on a new book.
