Leo McKinstry

Leo McKinstry is a first-class historian and author of the acclaimed Second World War trilogy Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster.

His biography of the nineteenth-century Liberal Prime Minister Lord Rosebery won the Channel Four Political Book of the Year in 2006.  He has a column in the Daily Express and also writes regularly for the Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph, The Sun and the Spectator. His latest book, Attlee and Churchill, was chosen as a Book of the Year in the Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail.

Born in Belfast, he was educated in Ireland and at Cambridge University.
