Nicholas Allan

Nicholas Allan is a children's writer who has established a unique position for himself with a series of small picture books which appeal as much to adults as to children, and which Nick has illustrated himself. They include Jesus' Christmas Party, The Queen's Knickers and Hilltop Hospital, all published by Hutchinson. Hilltop Hospital has been adapted for television; three series have been made for CiTV and a fourth one is in development. Hilltop Hospital was a winner of the 2003 British Academy Children's Film and Television Award.
