Nick was born and still lives in Glasgow. He studied English at the University of Glasgow and has recently completed his postgraduate degree in Creative Writing. He has had a number of occupations from cartoonist, musician and stained-glass window maker. His first novel, My Name Is Denise Forrester, was published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson in 2005. His second novel, The Good Death, was published in 2006.
