Patrick Nash was born in Macclesfield in 1996. He studied English at the University of Warwick, followed by later studies at the University of St Andrews and the University of Manchester. He wrote his doctoral thesis on contemporary Gothic fiction. He is based in Manchester, where he has taught English at the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University.
