Stephanie van den Bergh was born in the occupied Netherlands in 1944. As her father was Jewish, the family lived in hiding in a house in the woods near Doorn.
Stephanie came to the London as a young woman and started a costume jewelry business in the swinging 60s. She then set up a consumer PR consultancy, selling that in 2000 to go travelling around the world, living in Hawaii, Arizona, Bali, Cape Cod, La Gomera and, in 2012, she settled in Mallorca, where she lives with her dog and donkeys.
My Aunt Lucie is her first children’s book.
