Sarah Moss has published fiction, memoir, literary criticism and food history, including Ghost Wall, Summerwater and Ripeness. Her experimental memoir, My Good Bright Wolf, published by Picador and FSG, won Scotland's Non-Fiction Book of the Year in the Saltires Awards. Her books are translated into many languages. She was born in Glasgow, grew up in northern England and, after many years moving around the North Atlantic, now lives in Dublin and County Clare. She studied at the University of Oxford and wrote her doctorate on the influence of eighteenth-century voyage narratives on British Romanticism.

An illustrated children's book, The Christmas Dragon, is forthcoming with Macmillan, and a new novel, The Winter Guest, will be published by Picador in 2026.
