Exit Stage Left

When the body of Lancelot Foley, a well-known actor, is discovered in an excavation in a fashionable Chelsea street one snowy February morning, his neck snapped by a seeming martial arts expert, Detective Chief Inspector Harry Brock is assigned to the case.

The dead man's wife, fellow thespian Vanessa Drummond, pleads innocence, but it soon becomes clear there was no love lost between her and her cheating husband, and the pair were on the brink of divorce. Could the tall, well-built Vanessa have done him in? His statuesque current mistress? A jealous husband? Or a rival in the theatre world?

Brock - aided by Detective Sergeant Dave Poole and Kate Ebdon, his Australian-born detective inspector - is spoilt for choice when it comes to suspects, but the killer is cunning and dangerous. Could this case be too difficult for even Brock to solve?
