Mari is a multi-award-winning bestselling author and screenwriter. Since 2012, she’s published sixteen novels. Her work is sold around the world and has been translated into a number of languages. In 2017, she won the CWA Dagger in the Library and was longlisted for the International Dublin Literary Award. As Programming Chair, Mari curated the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival in 2019. The following year she won Capital Crime’s Crime Book of the Year. Two of her three series are in development for TV: the Kate Daniels series, with Sprout Pictures & Atlantic Nomad, and the Stone & Oliver series, with Buccaneer Media. She lives in rural Northumberland with her partner, an ex-murder detective.
